Privacy Policy

The Beautiful Game is a free fantasy sports app for drafting teams with friends. There are no ads, no trackers, no analytics profiles, and nothing here costs money. This page explains what little we store and why.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address, a display name, and a password (stored only as a salted hash, never as the password itself). If you sign in with Google or Apple we store the email and identifier they provide instead of a password. Apple's private relay addresses are respected and stored as given.
• Game data: the leagues you belong to, the teams you draft, and your league preferences (order, archived leagues).
• Bug reports: whatever you type into the report box, so we can fix the problem.

How we use it

• To sign you in and run your leagues. That is the whole product.
• Email is used only to identify your account, to send a password reset when you ask for one, and for nothing else. No newsletters, no marketing.
• We never sell or share your personal data with anyone.

Cookies and storage

One session cookie keeps you signed in. Your browser's local storage remembers things like your last-viewed league. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

Third parties

The site and app are hosted on Netlify. Sign-in can go through Google or Apple if you choose them. Live match data comes from sports data providers; none of your personal information is ever sent to them.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account and its data at any time from the Account screen in the app. Deletion removes your account, sign-in details, and league memberships.

Children

The Beautiful Game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
